Icebergs drift down from the far north to become caught in inland shoals. This is just one of the many that can be viewed from time to time from our shores. This particular one stopped in Conception Bay for most of one summer. Kelly's Island was a popular stopover for pirates of old. It is rumored that there is pirate treasure buried on Kelly's Island. Many have tried to find it but none have been successful. Maybe, you will be the fortunate one.
We are adjacent to the Trans Canada Trail, which goes right through our town. It runs along the banks of Conception Bay where you can view sunsets, icebergs, whales, and more during certain times of the year.
